Update to the Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Background Paper 2022
The South Downs National Park Authority has updated the 2018 Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Background Paper.
The purpose of this document is to:
- Identify existing provision for Gypsies and Travellers across the SDNP including authorised and unauthorised sites.
- Update current needs data to take account of recent permissions and the results of the various studies looking at the need for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople.
There have also been several updated Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessments (GTAAs) published since the adoption of the South Downs Local Plan in July 2019.
