The South Downs National Park Authority have worked with Town and Parish Councils across the National Park since its designation in 2011.

Town and Parish Councils are a key partner in delivering the National Park’s Purposes and Duty and the outcomes of the South Downs Partnership Management Plan.

The Authority recognise that Town and Parish Council have a key role to play in supporting their local communities to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors and conserve and enhance the Park’s Distinctive Towns and Villages.

To support local communities the SDNPA holdparish webinars every year, covering a range of topics.

These webinars provide advice and practical information for Town and Parish Councils as well as local community groups and individuals on how they can help the SDNPA conserve and enhance the National Park.
