The South Downs ReNature Festival is back for 2023, with a big celebration of our unique habitats and showcasing some of the nature recovery projects of the last 12 months.
Festival Programme
Among the highlights of the ReNature festival will be a guided walk at Waterhall, a former golf course near Brighton where rare chalk grassland is being restored for wildlife, as well as activities for young people to get involved in conservation tasks and a butterfly walk with top expert Neil Hulme.
As part of this year’s festival, we are inviting the public to help nature by taking a “ReNature pledge”.
The pledges include making a home for nature, buying local, and recycling.
People simply need to fill in the pledge form online before 1 September and they will be entered into a prize draw for a year’s membership to The Wildlife Trusts or a family ticket to Marwell Zoo.
Nature and Climate Pledge
In case you missed it last year, here’s our short film on Wilding Waterhall and the Changing Chalk partnership.
We’ll be returning to Waterhall this year and showcasing the progress that’s been made on restoring nature to this former golf course.
