Patching Neighbourhood Plan
Patching Parish Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Patching. Further details of the NDP preparation are available on the Patching Parish Council website.
The following stages and documents have been completed:

| Plan “Made” (Adoption) | The Patching NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the SDNPA Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA Planning Committee resolution on 12 April 2018, has been made.
The made Patching NDP is a part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) area as defined by the Neighbourhood Area Designation by the SDNPA on 14 March 2013. The made Patching NDP can be viewed at the following location:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Patching NDP on 01 March 2018. Further information on the referendum is available on the Arun District Council website. There was a 21% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | The SDNPA agreed the Decision Statement for the Patching NDP under delegated officer powers on 02 January 2018. This sets out the modifications that will be made to the Plan in response to the Examiner’s recommendations.
The Patching NDP has been modified accordingly and will proceed to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | The SDNPA appointed Mr John Slater MRTPI as Independent Examiner of the Patching NDP. The Examiner published their final report in September 2017. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission consultation |
The SDNPA published the submitted Patching Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) – in accordance with Part 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 – for consultation between 12 June and 24 July 2017. | Regulation 14 – Pre-submission consultation | Patching Parish Council (PPC) undertook a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Patching Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 01 August and 26 September 2016.
