Upper Beeding Neighbourhood Plan
Upper Beeding Parish Council are preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan for Upper Beeding. Further details of the neighbourhood plan preparation are available at the Upper Beeding Parish Council website.

| Referendum |
The Upper Beeding NDP (Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the Decision Statement) complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and as a result of the SDNPA Planning Committee resolution on 10th June 2021. The referendum for Upper Beeding was held on 6th May 2021. The Referendum version of the Neighbourhood Development Plan for Upper Beeding is below: |
| Decision Statement | In January 2020, Horsham District published the Decision Statement for the Upper Beeding NDP. This sets out the changes that will made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications.
The Upper Beeding NDP has been modified accordingly and will proceed to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | Horsham District Council appointed Mr Andrew Ashcroft as Independent Examiner of the Upper Beeding NDP. The Examiner published his final report in December 2019. |
| Publicising the Plan proposal (Regulation 16) | Horsham District Council published the submitted Upper Beeding NDP for consultation from 15 February to 5 April 2019.

| Pre-submission consultation (Regulation 14) | Upper Beeding Parish Council undertook a Pre-Submission consultation on their draft Neighbourhood Plan. The consultation ran from 25th June to 13th August 2018

| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated the area of Upper Beeding Neighbourhood Area within the South Downs National Park on 12 December 2013 following an application from Upper Beeding Parish Council. |
| Consultation on the proposed Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate Upper Beeding Neighbourhood Area was held from 9 September 2013 to 21 October 2013 |
