Ferring Neighbourhood Plan
Ferring Parish Council (FPC) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Ferring. Further details of the NDP preparation are available on the Ferring Parish Council website.
The following stages and documents have been completed.

| Plan “Made” (Adoption) | The Ferring NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 12 March 2015, has been made.
The made Ferring NDP is a part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) area of the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area designated by the SDNPA on 14 March 2013. The made Ferring NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Ferring NDP on 10 December 2014. Further information on the referendum is available on the Arun District Council website. There was a 45.2% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | In October 2014, Arun District Council (ADC) published the Decision Statement for the Ferring NDP. This sets out the changes that were made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications.
The Ferring NDP was modified accordingly and proceeded to referendum. |
| Independent Examination | Arun District Council (ADC) appointed Ms Clare Wright as the Independent Examiner of the Ferring NDP. The Examiner published their final report in August 2014. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission consultation | Arun District Council (ADC) published the submitted Ferring Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 14 May and 25 June 2014. Further information, including the accompanying documents, can be found on the Arun District Council website. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-submission consultation | Ferring Parish Council (FPC) carried out a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Ferring Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 18 February and 01 April 2014. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | Following an application from Ferring Parish Council (FPC), the Ferring Neighbourhood Area was designated by Arun District Council on 10 December 2012, and by the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) on 14 March 2013. |
| Consultation on a proposed Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate the Ferring Neighbourhood Area was held from 06 September to 18 October 2012. |
