Action Points & Tips
Know your history. Understand the stories, events and people that have epitomised and characterised the National Park. Use those facts as hooks and themes (see below) to engage your customers.
Make the visual link – use iconic images of Englishness within the National Park; cricket on village greens, afternoon teas, quaint country pubs, deer parks and rolling green hills all help reinforce the case.
Embrace a slower way of life. Encourage car-free visits, slower and more enjoyable journeys, encourage your customers to explore, amble and discover at their own pace.
Help people understand. Provide information or interpretation to the heritage and stories within your local area or geo-locate old photos and illustrations of your buildings and local events on social image sharing tools.
