As a National Park, nature-based solutions are an effective tool for us to harness our natural capital and ecosystem services to mitigate climate change and to adapt to it.
Nature-based solutions have already served us for centuries and millennia, with enormous success.
Working with nature can also provide solutions in respect of food security, flood prevention, water health and human health and wellbeing.
By protecting, restoring and effectively managing the landscape and habitats of the South Downs National Park, we can provide the mitigation needed to reach Net Zero.
