Rowlands Castle Neighbourhood Plan

Rowlands Castle Parish Council are preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan for Rowlands Castle. Further details of the neighbourhood plan preparation are available at the Rowlands Castle Parish Council webpage.

East Hampshire District Council has published the submitted Rowlands Castle Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation from 13 February 2023 to 27 March 2023.

Copies of the Submission version of the Rowlands Castle NDP and the other submitted documents are available on the East Hampshire District Council website. Further details can also be found on the Rowlands Castle Parish Council website.

Pre-submission consultation (Regulation 14) Rowlands Castle Parish Council undertook a pre-submission consultation on their draft Neighbourhood Plan from the 17 June – 14 August 2022

The SDNPA made the following comments in response to the consultation:

Designated Neighbourhood Area  The SDNPA designated part of Rolands Castle Neighbourhood Area on 24 April 2017 following an application from Rolands Castle Parish Council.

Application for  neighbourhood planning area

Neighbourhood area applications set out the proposed area in which a parish or town council (or ‘neighbourhood forum’) intend to use the neighbourhood planning powers arising from the Localism Act.

Parish of Rowlands Castle, East Hampshire

The South Downs National Park Authority has received an application from Rowlands Castle Parish Council for a neighbourhood area to be designated.
