Plaistow & Ifold Neighbourhood Plan
Plaistow & Ifold Parish Council are preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Plaistow & Ifold.
Due to issues in relation to development in the Sussex North Water Supply Zone, the parish council requested that the NDP be withdrawn in February 2022.
However, as of 08 August 2023, the parish council has resolved to prepare a new NDP.

| Independent Examination |
Chichester District Council (CDC) appointed Ms Janet Cheesley as Independent Examiner of the Plaistow & Ifold NDP. In April 2021, the Examiner suspended the Examination to allow the Council to undertake a further Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA) Screening Matrix and Appropriate Assessment Statement of the NDP. This was in light of the issue raised by Natural England in relation to development in the Sussex North Water Supply Zone which includes the parish. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission consultation |
Chichester District Council (CDC) published the submitted Plaistow & Ifold Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 27 February and 30 April 2020. However, due to the impact of Covid-19 restrictions during the consultation, it was necessary for CDC to repeat the consultation. The repeated consultation ended on 29 October 2020. |
| Regulation 14 – Pre-submission consultation | Plaistow & Ifold Parish Council (PIPC) undertook a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Plaistow & Ifold Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 08 September and 20 October 2017. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated part of the Plaistow & Ifold Neighbourhood Area on 14 March 2013 following an application from Plaistow & Ifold Parish Council. |
