Kirdford Neighbourhood Plan
Kirdford Parish Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Kirdford. Further details of the NDP preparation are available on the Kirdford Parish Council website.
The following stages and documents have been completed.

| Plan “Made” (Adoption) | The Kirdford NDP – i.e., the Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the Decision Statement – complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and, as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 12 June 2014, has been made.
The made Kirdford NDP is a part of the Development Plan for the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) area of the parish as defined by the Neighbourhood Area Designation by the SDNPA on 13 September 2012. The made Kirdford NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

| Referendum |
A referendum was held on the Kirdford NDP on 01 May 2014. Further information on the referendum is available on the Chichester District Council website. There was a 44% turnout, with the following results:

| Decision Statement | Chichester District Council (CDC) and the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) agreed the Decision Statement for the Kirdford NDP. This sets out the modifications that will be made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications. |
| Independent Examination | Chichester District Council (CDC) appointed Ms Janet Cheesley as Independent Examiner of the Kirdford NDP. The Examiner published their final report in January 2014. |
| Regulation 16 – Submission consultation | Chichester District Council (CDC) published the submitted Kirdford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for consultation between 19 July and 02 September 2013.

| Regulation 14 – Pre-submission consultation | Kirdford Parish Council (KPC) undertook a pre-submission consultation on the Draft Kirdford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) between 12 December 2012 and 04 February 2013. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated part of the Kirdford Neighbourhood Area on 13 September 2012 following an application from Kirdford Parish Council. |
| Proposed Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate the Kirdford Neighbourhood Area was held from 15 June to 03 August 2012. |
