Albourne Neighbourhood Plan

Albourne Parish Council have prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan for Albourne. Further details of the neighbourhood plan preparation are available at the Albourne Parish Council website.

Plan ‘made’ (adopted)	The Albourne NDP (Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the SDNPA Decision Statement) complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 13 October 2016 has been made. Albourne Made Neighbourhood Plan 2016 Albourne Sustainability Appraisal Albourne Neighbourhood Plan Environmental Report Adoption Statement The Albourne NDP is a part of the Development Plan of the SDNPA Local Planning Authority area as defined by the Neighbourhood Area Designation by the SDNPA on 13 September 2012. Referendum	A referendum was held on the Albourne NDP on 1 September 2016. For more information on the referendum please click here Albourne NDP referendum version There was a 43.4% turnout, with the following results Yes = 96.2% (228 votes) No = 3.8% (9 votes)
Decision on the Plan Proposal	On the 13 July 2016 Mid Sussex District Council agreed the Decision Statement for the Albourne NDP. This sets out the modifications that will be made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications. Independent Examination	Mid Sussex District Council appointed Clare Wright as the independent Examiner of the Albourne NDP. The Examiner assessed whether the Albourne NDP meets certain legal requirements, known as the ‘basic conditions’ and considered representations made on the Albourne NDP. The Examiner has now issued their final report, which Mid Sussex District Council will now consider and will issue a ‘Decision Statement’ in due course setting out the actions to be taken in response to the recommendations of the Examiner. Publicising a Plan Proposal	Mid Sussex District Council published the submitted Albourne NDP for consultation from 26 November 2015 to 7 January 2016. Submission of Plan Proposals	Albourne Parish Council submitted the Albourne NDP and accompanying documents to the SDNPA in November 2015.

Designated Neighbourhood Area	The SDNPA designated the area of Albourne Neighbourhood Area within the South Downs National Park on 13 September 2012 following an application from Albourne Parish Council. Designated Neighbourhood Area
Consultation on the proposed Neighbourhood Area	A consultation on an application to designate Albourne Neighbourhood Area was held from 19 July to 30 August 2012.
