Youth Ambassadors

We know that young people are passionate about nature, climate and the environment. If you are aged between 16-25, join us to help shape the future of the South Downs National Park.

As a Youth Ambassador, you will fulfil a crucial role of ensuring that young peoples’ voices are heard across the South Downs National Park, with our partners and wider networks.

What will I gain from this experience?

• Career skills and new experiences whilst being active outdoors
• The chance to make a practical difference for nature and climate
• Fun whilst spending time in new environments
• Working with like-minded individual

What would I need to commit? 

We ask for Youth Ambassadors to attend 4 meetings a year. These are a mixture of online and in-person events.

There is also the opportunity to:

• Attend other meetings and events around the national park
• Visit and collaborate with national youth voice teams at our fellow national parks around the UK
• Produce internal and external content for our communication team

We are committed to ensuring these opportunities are completely free for all young people. We will cover any reasonable costs incurred whilst attending these events.

We operate a rolling application process so you can apply whenever you are ready. You might choose to submit a written application form below or submit your answers to the questions via a voice note or video.
