Youth Ambassadors

Youth Ambassadors

We know that young people are passionate about nature, climate and the environment.

Our Youth Ambassadors fulfil a crucial role of ensuring that young peoples’ voices are heard across the South Downs National Park, with our partners and wider networks.

What are we currently working on?

  • Listening to the views of young people that live, work or visit the National Park.
  • Feeding youth voice into key strategic documents, both within the South Downs National Park and the national setting.
  • Learning more about protected landscapes and their future roles within it.
  • Supporting our communication team with reaching our to young people.
  • Participating in youth led volunteering opportunities.

How do I communicate with Youth Ambassadors?

Youth Ambassadors attend 4 meetings a year (September, November, March and June). If you would like to talk to us before a meeting, please send a message to learning@southdowns.gov.uk and one of us will aims to get back to you.

What does Youth Voice look like across the National Parks?

How do I get involved?

If you are interested in joining our board, please do get in touch with us at learning@southdowns.gov.uk
