Paddle the South Downs

Paddle the South Downs

Submerse yourself in the South Downs National Park by exploring it on water. Join a kayaking adventure surrounded by the area’s true beauty, with flower-rich chalk grassland and wildfowl.

Paddle past plenty of wildlife away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and get a different perspective on the historic and classically English village of Alfriston or Sussex’s beautiful county town of Lewes.

There are some unusual sights on each trip – look for the chalk figure of a horse cut into the land or llamas, alpacas and a crocodile!

The Kayak Coach offers a number of guided trips along the Cuckmere estuary in the far eastern end of the South Downs National Park.
