Forgaing

Forgaing

01 April 2023

10:00 to 14:00

Foraging for food gives us a greater awareness of our surroundings, it forces us to slow down, and look. We are working alongside Rewilding Us, for a morning of wild foraging, warming food and of course a refreshing glass of wine. Begin the day by exploring the vineyard and woodlands with the backdrop of the Sussex countryside. On this guided foraging tour of the wine estate, you will gather ingredients that will be later used in your flavourful lunch. The Sussex landscape has a bountiful pantry of ingredients to forage. During the year, whilst the seasons change, so do the ingredients. Foraged goods can include nettles, rosehips, elderflowers, and wild garlic all of which make perfect accompaniments to a spring menu. You will have time to relax in the calming woodland with a prepared taster, before strolling to our toasty Tasting Room, where you can enjoy the fruits of your labours.
