Dawn Chorus walk: Singing birds on Shortheath

25 April 2024 to 05 May 2024

04:30 to 07:00

Get up with the lark and join heathland rangers Elinor and Olivia for a gentle stroll around Shortheath Common to embrace the dawn chorus. You won’t regret setting your alarm as we enjoy the magic of some of our springtime songsters. Shortheath Common sits at the northern extremity of the South Downs National Park and is designated as a Special Area of Consevation due to the unique ecological landscape. It’s hope to a variety of rare bird, and plant species of international importance. Bring your binoculars and waterproof footwear is advised as the site is particularly muddy and wet in places.
