Amberley Environment Day

Amberley Environment Day

03 June 2023

10:00 to 16:30

Come to Amberley Museum to celebrate World Environment Day, and explore how local community groups to national charities are working to restore nature and promote more sustainable living in Sussex. Visit stalls, take part in workshops and attend short talks to find out how you can make a positive impact on the environment with your family, friends or school. When you’re in need of a bite, enjoy sustainable meal options in the Limeburners’ Café.

Also on this day, find out more about the natural setting of Amberley Museum, a rewilded chalk pit that’s now a Local Wildlife Site hosting a diverse range of plants and animals, some of them rare. Watch demonstrations and have a go at heritage crafts practised at the museum. Learn how you can use your smartphone to record the species you see and become a citizen scientist at our ‘Nature at Amberley’ stall. We expect the event to sell out, so please book online to avoid disappointment. Train travellers enjoy half price entry. For information on the 20+ organisations exhibiting, please check our website.
