Petersfield Climate Action Network (PeCAN)

Petersfield Climate Action Network (PeCAN) is an environmental charity set up by local residents in and around Petersfield, Hampshire.

Their aim is to help Petersfield and surrounding villages reduce their carbon emissions and protect nature, which they do by leading and supporting decarbonisation and nature projects in the community.

They engage with local people and other voluntary groups to help make the changes to homes, travel, and behaviour (including our approach to nature), needed to help ensure a safer, healthier future. PeCAN runs talks, events and initiatives, such as Petersfield Eco Fair, Swift Streets, and A Fruit Tree in Every Garden, plus a weekly Eco Cafe and monthly Eco Pub.

PeCAN’s vision is for the Petersfield area to become carbon neutral as quickly as possible, in line with current scientific evidence and the recommendations of the Government’s Climate Change Committee.
