South Downs Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) 2020

This updated LCA is intended to be more accessible and more useable.

The new on-line platform provides:

New descriptive and/or mapping content
More detailed assessment of landscape sensitivities and landscape management, design and development considerations
New descriptions that include the Ecosystem Services that are provided at landscape scale
An interactive and accessible web-based platform that allows the LCA to be more easily interpreted by end-users and shared more widely
An image and mapping based approach to help people better understand the key characteristics of different landscape areas
