The South Downs National Park Authority is committed to supporting the communities that live and work within the South Downs. Fostering the economic and social well-being of local communities is the duty of the Authority, in order to deliver its purposes.
The following pages set out how the SDNPA can support local communities in achieving those purposes and also give details about what others are doing in the Park to support our work.
The conservation, protection and enhancement of this spectacular landscape cannot be achieved without the support of partner organisations and the local knowledge of people who live and work here. By working together, we can all have a positive impact on future generations living in the area and ensure a safe and sustainable future for the South Downs.
