Disclaimer (30 July 2025): The SDNPA Planning Policy Team has identified some discrepancies in the AI summaries that were reported to the South Downs Planning Committee on 10 July 2025. This appears to be isolated to certain thematic policies and proposed site allocations (i.e., Ditchling and Stroud). We apologise for this administrative error, and we are incredibly grateful to those who have brought the above to our attention. The Team will look to correct the discrepancies in 2026 when we publish our responses to the Regulation 18 representations. In the meantime, please be assured that the Team will be using and referring to the full circa 3,700 comments received (and not the AI summaries) when preparing the South Downs Local Plan Review for the anticipated Regulation 19 consultation in May 2026.
The first public consultation on the revised Local Plan closed on 17 March 2025.

We will consider all the feedback received so far as we prepare the next stage of the Local Plan Review, with the second public consultation taking place between May and July 2026.
