Cabaret by the Shane Hill & Jodie Elms Duo, with special guest performer Mike Hatchard

Reigate based guitarist Shane Hill and Hampshire based vocalist Jodie Elms will be joined from East Sussex by vocalist / pianist and violinist Mike Hatchard for a wonderful evening of American songbook and more. Shane has performed at Ronnie Scott’s, 606 Club and many music festivals. He has accompanied the legendary bass baritone singer Sir Willard White and also appeared with the late opera star Maria Ewing at the Minerva Theatre, Chichester.
Session work has included playing on recordings by Lionel Ritchie, Janet Jackson and many other singers for major record labels. Shane lectures on music courses as well as teaching guitar for various education authorities. Jodie’s soprano work has included recording with Shirley Bassey and Shania Twain as well as performing at the Royal Albert Hall, the Eisteddfod, Olympia and Versailles in Paris. She is also a song writer, vocal tutor and voice therapist.
Jodie has also performed in various music festivals around the UK; and performed for Sunseeker Yachts at the WANDA Gala in China. Versatile Mike has performed on Radio 3, gone on tour cycling while towing his piano and can sing upside down as well as play violin and piano (but not at the same time – yet!).
These amazing feats were part of fund-raising for BBC Children in Need. Mike has worked extensively as an MD / accompanist, including on tour, for the late vocal legend Matt Monro. He has also accompanied the celebrated vocalist Dame Cleo Laine and more recently appeared with the multi award-winning singer Liane Carroll.
The programme will include classic standard numbers from the Great American Songbook and a mix of other material. Cabaret begins 7.30pm. Your chance to Get That Swing on a Sunday night!
