Camping and Glamping Technical Advice Note (TAN)
The Camping and Glamping Technical Advice Note (TAN), has been produced to guide applicants and agents when applying for planning permission for camping and glamping tourist accommodation.
The guidance covers pitch up camping, glamping style yurts and domes, eco pods, ‘luxury’ style canvas tents and treehouses.
The Local Plan should be read as a whole. However, this TAN has been produced specifically to assist in the interpretation some policies in the SDLP. Specifically, Policy SD23: Sustainable Tourism.
Although not required for Technical Advice Notes, under the Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) regulations. We have created a Consultation Statement, that summaries all of the representations received during the consultation period earlier in the year.
