Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Evidence

Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Evidence

A Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment assesses the need for gypsy and traveller pitches and travelling showmen plots.

The two studies below provide the evidence base for policy SD33 of the New South Downs Local Plan, and further work will be undertaken before the Regulation 19 Pre-Submission consultation to try to identify additional sites to meet these needs.

The South Downs National Park Authority, Adur and Worthing Councils, and Brighton and Hove City Council Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment

This pulls together the outcomes of individual existing Gypsy Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Accommodation Assessments for parts of the National Park and updates them to 2042, and carries out a more detailed refresh for the areas of Brighton & Hove and Adur and Worthing Councils.

The East Hampshire Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment

This provides an update to previous Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessments covering East Hampshire.

Gypsy and Traveller Site Identification Report

An assessment has been completed of the sites put forward for Gypsy and Traveller accommodation within the National Park. This work will contribute to the preparation of the new Local Plan.
