Nicola Benedetti is one of the most sought-after violinists of her generation. Her ability to captivate audiences with her innate musicianship and spirited presence, coupled with her wide appeal as a high-profile advocate for classical music, has made her one of the greatest influential classical artists of today.
A rare chance to hear in West Sussex four of the classical music world’s stars of tomorrow playing together, all Ambassadors with the world-renowned Benedetti Foundation, established in 2019 by violinist and dedicated advocate Nicola Benedetti CBE to deliver transformative experiences through mass music events and provide equal access to music participation and appreciation for all.
The evening starts at 6.00 with a reception next to the church in a private garden with light snacks for sale, and drinks for which a donation to St Giles Church will be welcomed. All to the sound of the Graffham Church bells. The Benedetti Foundation was established in 2019 by violinist and dedicated advocate Nicola Benedetti CBE to deliver transformative experiences through mass music events and provide equal access to music participation and appreciation for all, uniting those who believe music is integral to life’s education.
Through its in-person and virtual programmes, it has worked with more than 75,000 participants of all ages with its video content achieving more than 6.5 million views. Its Ambassador Programme is a training scheme for young professionals creating world-leading, innovative musicians and educators. Four of these musical stars of tomorrow will be travelling to West Sussex to play together at Graffham Festival 2024’s opening concert, in the village’s historic St Giles Church.
