Pondtail Wood – works progressing under new owner

We are pleased to report that the new owner of Pondtail Wood is working with the SDNPA, the Forestry Commission and Natural England. Works are progressing well to remove the waste and hard-core from the central/lower area of the site, in accordance with the requirements of the planning enforcement notice – this is being undertaken under the supervision of qualified ecologist.
The SDNPA Enforcement Officer was on site when the works commenced and has been in close contact with the site owner and relevant agencies since.
The Forestry Commission have confirmed that they will continue to discuss the replanting requirements with the site owner to devise an acceptable replanting program for the site.
