Wisborough Green Neighbourhood Plan

Wisborough Green Parish Council are preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan for Wisborough Green.  Further details of the neighbourhood plan preparation are available at the Wisborough Green Parish Council website.

The Wisborough Green NDP (Submission Plan incorporating the Examiner’s modifications and all modifications as per the SDNPA Decision Statement) complies with the legal requirements and basic conditions set out in the Localism Act 2011 and as a result of the SDNPA resolution on 9 June 2016 has been made.

The Wisborough Green NDP is a part of the Development Plan of the SDNPA Local Planning Authority area as defined by the Neighbourhood Area Designation by the SDNPA on 13 September 2012.

The made Wisborough Green NDP can be viewed at the following locations:

  • South Downs Centre, North Street, Midhurst, GU29 9DH
  • Chichester District Council, East Pallant House, Chichester, PO19 1TY
Referendum A referendum was held on the Wisborough Green NDP on 5 May 2016.  For more information on the Wisborough Green Neighbourhood Development Plan Referendum visit Chichester District Council’s Wisborough Green NDP Referendum page.

There was a 36.6% turnout, with the following results:

  • Yes = 83.2% (351 votes)
  • No = 16.8% (71 votes)
Decision on the Plan proposal Chichester District Council have agreed the Decision Statement for the Wisborough Green NDP. This sets out the modifications that will be made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications

The Wisborough Green NDP has been modified accordingly and will proceed to referendum on 5 May 2016

Independent examination

Chichester District Council appointed Paul McCreery as the independent Examiner of the Wisborough Green NDP. The Examiner assessed whether the Wisborough Green NDP meets certain legal requirements, known as the ‘basic conditions’ and considered representations made on the Wisborough Green NDP.

The Examiner has now issued their final report, which Chichester District Council will now consider and will issue a ‘Decision Statement’ in due course setting out the actions to be taken in response to the recommendations of the Examiner.

Publicising a Plan Proposal Chichester District Council published the submitted Wisborough Green NDP for consultation from 30 April to 11 June 2015. The following documents were submitted for consultation

Submission of Plan Proposals Wisborough Green Parish Council submitted the Wisborough Green NDP and accompanying documents to Chichester District Council.
Pre-submission consultation on a plan A consultation on the pre-submission version of the Wisborough Green Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) was held from Monday 5 January to Monday 2 February 2015

Designated Neighbourhood Area Following an application from Wisborough Green Parish Council, the Wisborough Green Neighbourhood Area was designated by the SDNPA on 13 September 2012 and by Chichester District Council on 6 November 2012

Consultation on proposed Neighbourhood Area A consultation on an application to designate Wisborough Green Neighbourhood Area was held from 19 July to 30 August 2012.
