Seaford Neighbourhood Plan
Seaford Town Council are preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan for Seaford. Further details of the neighbourhood plan preparation are available at the Seaford Town Council website.

| Decision Statement | In December 2019, Lewes District Council publishes the Decision Statement for the Seaford NDP. This sets out the changes that will be made to the plan in response to the Examiner’s modifications.
The Seaford NDP has been modified accordingly and will proceed to referendum on Thursday 6th February 2020. |
| Independent Examination | Lewes District Council appointed Mr Nigel McGurk as Independent Examiner of the Seaford NDP. The Examiner published his final report in December 2019. |
| Publicising the Plan proposal |
Lewes District Council has published the submitted Seaford NDP for consultation from Friday 24 May to Friday 5 July 2019. Copies of the Seaford NDP Submission version and the other submitted documents are available on the Lewes District Council website. Further details can also be found on the Seaford Town Council website as above. The SDNPA response to the Regulation 16 consultation can be found here. | Second Pre-Submission consultation on the plan | Seaford Town Council carried out a Second Pre-Submission Neighbourhood Plan consultation from Thursday 1 November until Thursday 13 December 2018. Please see below for the SNDPA response to the consultation. Further details of the Second Pre-Submission Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) are available on the Lewes District Council website or Seaford Town Council website as above. |
| Pre-submission consultation on the plan | Seaford Town Council is carrying out a Pre Submission Neighbourhood Plan consultation from Friday 3rd November 2017 until 2 January 2018. |
| Designated Neighbourhood Area | The SDNPA designated the area of Seaford Neighbourhood Area within the South Downs National Park on 18 January 2016 following an application from Seaford Town Council |
| Consultation on the proposed Neighbourhood Area | A consultation on an application to designate Seaford Neighbourhood Area was held from 27 November 2015 to 8 January 2016. |
