Now a military training area, the history of Longmoor Inclosure dates back thousands of years. Discover more about this vast expanse of lowland heath and how humans have shaped the landscape here on a gentle stroll around the site.

Bring your binoculars as the site is also part of the Wealden Heath Phase II Special Protection Area and home to some rare bird, reptile and invertebrate species of international importance.

Location Details

Location Please meet at the Longmoor forest road car park near Liss. Longmoor Inclosure is a lowland heath site with a mixture of terrain from sandy tracks to muddy woodland trails in areas.

Directions

Please park at the Forest road car park, liss. If coming from the A3, take the Selbourne exit anf follow Farnham road B3006. Turn right towards Greatham village, and right again onto forest road. The parking is approximately 3/4 mile on the left.
