Nature Day: Mark your calendars for a day of family fun and natural wonder at Gilbert White’s House & Gardens on May 10th, 2026.

This year Nature Day is extra special, as we celebrate its 10th anniversary which marks a wonderful milestone!

Join us as we celebrate the natural world. We will be welcoming nature and conservation organisations to share family-friendly activities, hands on crafts, and engaging workshops.

Nature Day at Gilbert White’s House & Gardens is a fantastic opportunity for families to connect with nature and learn about conservation efforts in a fun and engaging environment. t

With activities suitable for all ages, including guided nature walks, and nature-inspired crafts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Admission to Nature Day includes access to the house and gardens, allowing visitors to explore the historic home of Gilbert White and wander through the stunning gardens brimming with botanical delights.

Prices are: £10 per adult & Children go free!

It was once home to pioneering naturalist and father of Ecology, Gilbert White. Visitors can explore up to 30 acres of open land and gorgeous 18th century gardens as well as the 18th century house

Both have regular trains to and from London Waterloo, as well as bus links to Selborne. There are many footpaths linking Selborne with nearby towns and villages.
