Better Smartphone Photography: Capture More of the South Downs

Better Smartphone Photography: Capture More of the South Downs

18 February 2026

19:00 to 20:00

A fan of photography but not sure how to get the most out your smartphone camera?

Join Friends of the South Downs and Sussex-based photographer David Taylor for a free online training session focused on better smartphone photography.

David will be focusing on iPhone cameras for certain specifics but most of the training is suitable for general smartphone use regardless of phone type.

David Taylor is an ex-military and civil airline pilot with a keen interest in photography and nature. David has travelled the world extensively but he freely admits that his favourite place is West Sussex, especially the South Downs.

David has long been a keen photographer, ever since skipping a day at school to photograph Concorde taking-off on its first commercial flight from Heathrow to Bahrain in 1976.

Online talk at 7pm on Wednesday 18th February 2026.

Ticket holders will be sent a Zoom link before the event start. https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/friends-of-the-south-downs/t-ojnrzlo
