Culture and Values

The SDNPA recognises the importance of a good organisational culture, which is defined as the underlying beliefs, assumptions, values and ways of interacting both internally and externally, which contribute to the unique social and psychological environment of our organisation.

This includes our organisation’s expectations, experiences, philosophy, as well as the values that guide our behaviour.

Culture is based on shared attitudes, beliefs, customs, and written and unwritten rules that have been developed over time and are considered valid.

In 2018, after consultation with staff and Members, the SDNPA values of Collaboration, Innovation, and Respect were agreed and are the key behaviours which demonstrate those values identified.
