Interview Process – what to expect
We really value equity, diversity, and inclusion and strive to foster an interview environment where all candidates bring their whole selves to our interview process.
Our process normally consists of a formal interview where competency-based questions are asked. Depending on the role there may also be a presentation (the topic is generally provided in advance of the interview) and / or a task (these are often given on the day but sometimes in advance).
We will:
- Inform you in advance of the interview what the process will consist of e.g. formal interview and task or any specific requirements e.g. appropriate footwear if a task is outdoors (depending on the role)
- Let you know how long the interview process will take and who will be on the panel
- Where the interview will be held, including the full address and map off how to get there
- Upon arrival we put candidates at ease with a friendly welcome
- Ask everyone the same main questions, using individual supplementary questions based on candidates answers
- Are always happy to repeat interview questions
- Happy for candidates to bring notes into their formal interview and take notes should they wish
- We time presentations and tasks
- Make reasonable adjustments at interview – see our section on ‘Adjustments for Interviews’
- We will call all candidates as soon as we are able to after the interviews to inform them if they have been successful or not
We will offer feedback on your interview.
