1. Make the journey part of the adventure

trainCollect extra points for travelling sustainably. Earn 1 bonus point for travelling by bus, rail or bike. To earn your points, upload a picture of your rail or bus ticket with the code for the GeoCache code you visited. When you reach a cache only accessible by bike, take a photo of the cache with your bike to earn an extra point.

2. Visit local food & drink

Geocaching is hungry work. Stop off in one of these local businesses, try local food drinkand refresh your energy ready to continue your adventures. Claim a bonus point per person to count towards your souvenir GeoCoin when you order food or drinks. Find the participating businesses.

3. Stay in the National Park

Stay longer and earn an extra 2 points per overnight stay. The Sustainability Centre has courses where you can pick up new skills, including herb walks and bush craft. Spend the night in one of their eco lodges, tipis or yurts. If you prefer a cosy old inn with log fires, check into one of the many participating pubs and B&B’s where you can also pick up extra points for eating and drinking.

4. Coastal adventure

The National Park begins in the East at the dramatic chalk cliffs of Beachy Head with its cliff-top lighthouse and spectacular views out over the sea and the soft, rolling Downs. Collect geocaches and extra points when you warm up at Coffee Republic in Eastbourne.

The wonders of heathland come alive in late summer. The heather washes the heaths purple and the mysterious sand lizard or smooth snake might make an appearance.

Make the most of this unique landscape and get up early for a misty morning adventure on heather clad Iping Common and pick up a few geocaches on your way.

6. Peaceful woodland
