Planning inspector dismisses appeal for Causeway Farm

Planning inspector dismisses appeal for Causeway Farm

February 3, 2015

The SDNPA Planning Committee’s decision to refuse permission for erection of up to 230 dwellings at Causeway Farm, Petersfield has been upheld by the Planning Inspector.

Rob Ainslie, Development Manager for the South Downs National Park Authority, said:
“Its great news that the Inspector has agreed with our decision to refuse this application at Causeway Farm and placed substantial weight on the countryside and qualities of the National Park and its relationship with the town of Petersfield. These proposals were too large and would have had a harmful impact on the National Park’s landscapes.”
