Final consultation on Stedham with Iping Neighbourhood Plan

Final consultation on Stedham with Iping Neighbourhood Plan

December 5, 2018

The submitted Stedham with Iping Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is now open for consultation until Friday 1 February 2019. The plan has been submitted by Stedham with Iping Parish Council to the South Downs National Park Authority for examination by an independent examiner. All representations made as part of the consultation will be sent to the examiner for consideration alongside the plan.

Neighbourhood Plans give local communities the power to shape development in their area. Once ‘made’ (adopted) they become part of the development plan for the National Park.

The Stedham with Iping NDP includes planning policies on:

  • Local Green Space and Community Space
  • Landscape and Views
  • Local Heritage

Once adopted, these policies will be used to determine planning applications locally along with the South Downs Local Plan.

Copies of the Neighbourhood Development Plan and supporting documents are available to view on the South Downs National Park Authority website at www.southdowns.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/neighbourhood-planning/neighbourhood-development-plans/stedham-with-iping-neighbourhood-plan/ and on the Stedham with Iping Parish Council website www.stedhamwithiping-pc.gov.uk/. Hard copies are available for inspection at the South Downs Centre, North Road, Midhurst GU29 9DH and The Hamilton Arms – Nava Thai, School Road, Stedham GU29 0NZ.

Comments on the plan should be sent to neighbourhood@southdowns.gov.uk or to Neighbourhood Planning, South Downs National Park Authority, South Downs Centre, North Road, Midhurst, GU29 9DH
