Southern Water Pesticide Amnesty
Southern Water is launching a pesticide amnesty today on the Brighton and Worthing Chalk Blocks.
In order to help farmers and growers manage stocks of banned or unwanted pesticides, Southern Water is offering to pay a contractor to collect and dispose of the products safely. This is a free service (up to 75 litres) and the collections are carried out on a confidential basis, so neither Southern Water nor any third party will be told which chemicals were collected from which holding. The scheme is designed to reduce the risk of pesticides reaching our drinking water sources. Collections will take place during December.
If you have any questions about the scheme, please contact Robin Kelly. To register for a free, confidential pesticide collection please contact Chemclear, see attached leaflet for details.
