The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) is one of England’s newest National Parks and sits in a beautiful part of Southern England.
We are looking for a Project Manager to support and co-ordinate delivery of ChaMP, to raise awareness of groundwater protection, and to deliver urban pollution prevention activities and projects, including the creation of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
You will work with partners including Southern Water, the Environment Agency, SDNPA, Brighton & Hove City Council, Natural England and the University of Brighton to implement and monitor projects and activities in the ChaMP Project Plan, and lead on delivery of the urban strand of the project.
You will work on the development of innovative and exciting rainscape (SuDS) projects, including engaging the community and liaising with contractors, as well as planning and fundraising for future rainscapes, with the support of partners and other SDNPA staff.
Liaising with research bodies to establish mutually beneficial and high quality collaborations, you will be helping raise awareness of groundwater protection and interventions to ensure sustainable groundwater resources.
Responsible for the reporting of ChaMP progress, funding and resources on behalf of the partnership, you will also report to identified SDNPA staff and to the ChaMP Steering Group and Project Board.
This post will be hosted by SDNPA but supported by partners. Ideally you will be available to start in early/mid May to allow for a handover period.
Sound like something that interests you? Think you can really add value to the role? Meet the person specification? Then please apply!
