An opportunity has arisen to join the Development Management Support Team. The role will be challenging and varied, dealing with the technical and administrative aspects of processing planning applications from receipt to archiving, and to provide helpdesk support to partner authorities who process case work on behalf of South Downs National Park.
You will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to become an expert in validating planning applications for completeness prior to passing on to planning officers. The ability to work well in a team is essential as well as a proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure within statutory and performance led timescales. You must be self-motivated and be able to use your own initiative.
Experience of Planning and GIS systems is desirable. Excellent IT skills are essential.
This position may suit a planning graduate who is looking for a first foot on the planning ladder, but would equally suit administrators looking for a more varied or challenging team based role.
