In addition to the size and scale of the Park we are able to offer our planners a unique opportunity to handle mainstream planning work and gain experience in development support for our host local authorities through a planning link role.
The unique nature of the South Downs National Park, by virtue of the number of large settlements within its boundaries and the opportunity for a wide variety of applications including a significant number of major schemes, .
Having recently introduced a career grade for all our planning roles your competence and progress in the post and through the various specialist areas will be acknowledged and rewarded and offer opportunities for continuous personal development.
One vacancy will be required to undertake work primarily providing support and guidance to a number of officers in our host authorities in a link role with occasional travel to the South Downs Centre in Midhurst. The other post will work out of the South Downs Centre and will include some support specifically focussed on the delivery of key infrastructure planning.
