Join Friends of the South Downs for this guided walk around Chanctonbury Ring, a staple feature of the South Downs.
We invite you to join us for this welcoming walk, with a relaxed atmosphere perfect for those who want to try out walking with a group.
This 7 mile circular walk starts from Chanctonbury Ring car park and climbs steadily up the Downs.
Along the way, you’ll glimpse Wiston House and Estate, home to the Goring family since the 1700s, before joining paths through the Steyning Downland Scheme.
Here, community orchards, wildflower meadows and grazing cattle help preserve this precious chalk grassland.
