Booking essential - please call the Visitor Centre on 01798 875851

Event Cost

£40 per person/£32 for RSPB members

Spend a day learning how to capture on paper the colours, textures and movement of wildlife in this workshop led by RSPB staff member and artist Emily Summers. You’ll be shown basic drawing techniques that can be applied to any subject, and have the opportunity to work on a detailed piece inspired by the wildlife here at Pulborough Brooks, while receiving plenty of 1:1 advice. Part of the morning session will involve a walk on our nature reserve to practice sketching so make sure you bring suitable outdoor clothing & do let us know if you have any mobility issues that we should be aware of. Tea, coffee & sweet nibbles will be provided but please bring a packed lunch or feel free to make use of our popular café. As this workshop is designed primarily for beginners, no previous experience is required. You will need to bring: a set of good quality coloured pencils in a range of colours (minimum 12), 2B – 6B sketching pencils & an eraser. We’ll provide you with a sketch pad that you can use and then take home with you. Cameras and binoculars will also be available for you to use but please feel free to bring your own.
