Some people find the idea of a website storing information on their computer or mobile device a bit intrusive, particularly when this information is stored and used by a third party without them knowing. Although this is generally quite harmless you may not, for example, want to see advertising that has been targeted to your interests. If you prefer, it is possible to block some or all cookies, or even to delete cookies that have already been set; but you need to be aware that you might lose some functions of that website.

Guided Walks

This year a series of guided walks programmes are taking place in various locations across the National Park. Find out more about what’s happening near you.

Walk the Downs, 31 July – 9 Nov 2018

If you live in the Peacehaven, Newhaven and Seaford area… Walk the Downs is for you.

Walk the Downs is a programme of FREE, gentle, guided walks in the South Downs National Park this summer and autumn. This range of gentle walking routes will allow participants to enjoy the beautiful scenery right on their doorstep.

Specially trained walk leaders from Wave Leisure Trust and our very own National Park Rangers are offering a programme of walks designed to reduce stress and anxiety, increase cardiovascular fitness and improve mobility.

Participants can choose between several routes in Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford, depending on their fitness and experience level. ‘Health Walks’ take up to  90 minutes and ‘Rural Rambles’ last two to three hours.
